AMRITSAR: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who visited Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib today along with her cabinet ministers, held a meeting with the Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj, at the Akal Takht Secretariat.
During the interaction, Jathedar Gargajj raised the long-pending case of Bandi Singh Prof. Devinderpal Singh Bhullar. He told the Chief Minister that Prof. Bhullar’s release has been awaiting approval from the Delhi government and could be finalized with her single signature. He further remarked that the previous AAP government under Arvind Kejriwal kept the matter unresolved, and the current BJP-led administration now has the opportunity to ensure justice.
Jathedar Gargajj also emphasized that Punjab’s youth have always made the highest sacrifices whenever the nation’s security has been threatened. He urged the Delhi CM to consider the humanitarian and emotional sentiments linked to the case.
CM Rekha Gupta listened attentively to the issues raised and assured the Jathedar that sincere efforts would be made to address and resolve the matter.
