Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Inaugurates Ahmedabad International Book Festival and ‘Food for Thought Fest 2025’

GANDHINAGAR, Nov 13 (IANS) — Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday inaugurated the grand Ahmedabad International Book Festival 2025 and Food for Thought Fest 2025 at the Sabarmati Riverfront Event Centre, celebrating literature, culture, and sustainability.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, along with several distinguished guests, attended the inaugural ceremony where they collectively took a pledge to embrace and promote the spirit of Swadeshi. The Chief Minister also unveiled the Mission Four Million Trees coffee table book, highlighting Gujarat’s commitment to environmental preservation.

Patel visited various educational and literary zones, including the National Book Trust of India’s pavilion, and signed a commemorative canvas, expressing pride in Gujarat’s growing global stature. He reaffirmed that Ahmedabad is fully prepared to host the Commonwealth Games 2030, underscoring the city’s readiness for large-scale international events.

The event also witnessed the launch of Indian-American author Jay Patel’s debut book Barrister Mr. Patel, co-authored with filmmaker Abhishek Dudhaiya. Dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel — the Iron Man of India — the book was officially unveiled by CM Bhupendra Patel in a moment of literary and patriotic celebration.
